Ahoy Mateys!!! Welcome to March, the month of St Patrick, Daylight Savings-Spring Forward ya know-Passover......AND the month my Granddaughter Julia doesn't have anymore CHEMOTHERAPY PRAISE GOD!! After two long years of spinal taps, running to the hospital in the middle of the night and countless needles and treatments, she's done, as of February 28. Now hopefully it is just check ups over the next several years until they pronounce her cured. Which brings me to our 5th ANNUAL RIVER RALLY. Our Rally has already been featured in the most recent RIDE MAGAZINE under coming events and ALAN WHELPLEY'S colorful flyer will grace the April issue. Our group is becoming widely known for our big heart for kids. We've already been notified by several PWC clubs from around Florida that they plan on participating in our big day. Many of them from the Tampa club and the Orlando club have already made reservations with CAPT HIRAM'S to spend Friday night and launch there and ride north to CONCH KEY /ROTARY PARK. The excitement is already beginning to build.  The tough economic times that we are living in is having an effect on our area with people sweating lay offs, job losses, and reduced business revenue. This will probably have an effect on our club with a loss of renewals. Hopefully not but the hard reality is not pretty. We have already had three folks that I know of not renew. On the plus side we have had four new folks sign up since January 1st.. Let's say a silent prayer for our members old and new that they will prosper despite the economy's downturn. Don't forget our meeting at BEEF O'BRADY'S on the16th. We will have KERRY GARDNER from Line X of Brevard as our speaker. Line X isn't just for inside the beds of pick up trucks. It can be used to rust proof springs and axles on our trailers and even on the bottom of jet skis! We will have the latest info on our RALLY and VP SHARON will wow us with her plans and ideas for our upcoming events. So see ya there. Until then- RIDE SAFE-RIDE SMART!!!-Capt Curt
