Hello to you good folks that like to be out on the
water on your trusty ride. Welcome to May, the
5th month of the year and the month of MOTHER'S
DAY of course, but did you know it is also famous,
or infamous for ARMED FORCES DAY, NATIONAL
MARITIME DAY, MEMORIAL DAY, (love those
3 day weekends) and perhaps the most famous of all...
WORLD ASTHMA DAY. We of course have our
RIDE SATURDAY lined up for the 3rd at SCJR Park,
sometimes known as PINEDA PARK. We'll meet there
at 9am and decide on our ride agenda. Choices abound.
We could ride north to the barge canal, hang out, cruise
around and meander back to have lunch at CONCH
KEY INN, or CHOWDERS. Or we could do our
old stand by, breakfast or lunch at RJ"S or HIRAM'S.
Or maybe someone will have another idea to strike
everyone's fancy.

Our meeting on the 13th will be at CHOWDERS, at 6:30
and in lieu of our regular agenda we will have the
BANANA RIVER POWER SQUADRON on hand to
spend about 2 hours with us bringing us up to date on
the latest RULES OF THE ROAD. Why? Because
it will interesting and so that we can pass
the soon to be enacted requirement of an education
certificate to legally operate your vessel on Florida waters.
This will be mandated sometime in the next year so we
want to be ahead of the curve and be ready. When they
are done we will spend a brief amount of time going over
details of our 3RD ANNUAL RIVER RALLY and having
a short question and answer period. At that point we will
be only a short three and half weeks from the big day!!!
Plans are proceeding nicely and folks are getting excited
by the prospect of helping these young kids with cancer
and their families. What a great prospect!!! We get to
spend a day on the Indian River, eat some burgers and
dogs, hang with fellow clubbers, maybe meet some new
folks from other areas, win some prizes, and get to bid
on lots of cool stuff!!!!!

Later in the month our event coordinator extrordinaire will
have a surprise ride/event for us that he will discuss at
the meeting. So make your plans now to attend. After
all, you have to eat, and you like hanging with your fellow
clubbers and you get educated too. So why wouldn't
