Ahoy mateys!!!! Here it is August already. The month of
Davey Crockette's birth, the issuance of the Lincoln penny,
the opening of the Smithsonian Institute, statehood for
Hawaii, and National Breastfeeding Week!!! And it is the
month of our long awaited Jensen Beach Adventure. If you

August is also the month when we normally get lots of rain
that fills up the ST JOHNS and the KISSIMEE Rivers so we
can find new vistas for our adventurous romps on our trusty
rides. The St Johns has been calling us for about a week now.
In fact, some of us have already traversed the St Johns
from Lake Washington over the dam and up to 520 and
dined at the LONE CABBAGE FISH CAMP. No, there
is no dam question about riding over the dam this year.
We have also made our Kissimee contacts and are awaiting
word as to when we can make our presence felt on that mighty
tributary. That will most likely happen the weekend of the 16th.
We will keep you posted via emails. We finish up the month
with a trailering trip to FERNANDINA BEACH. If you
haven't already planned for that adventure, email SHARON
HORSMAN for details and itinerary. This trip is a heap of fun
with lots of riding, and sights to see. It makes for a great week
end get a way and a great way to finish off the end of August.
