Welcome to February, the month of love, flowers and romance and Valentine's
Day. It is also the month of President's Washington and Lincoln's birthdays.
It is also the month of the Chinese New Year (hey we don't make this stuff
up) and Ash Wednesday. And normally a slow month for the Jetski crowd.
We start our month with our regular clean up at POW/MIA Park, more commonly
known as Pineda Boat Ramp. We were thinking of doing a ride afterward
because the wind forcast is very favorable but the temps are only going
to be in the upper 60's. So we're going to drive our cars to breakfast
somewhere close by after the cleanup. So if you feel like you are getting
a little cabin crazy come on out and hang with your fellow clubbers for
awhile Saturday morning February 3rd at 9:30.
Next up is our meeting on Tuesday February 13th at Chowders. We're going
to have our elections so if you don't show up don't be surprised if you
get nominated and elected to some position. We're also going to place
our orders for t shirts and tank tops. This way you can get the size and
color you want. You can be stylin' and profilin' on your ski this summer
with color coordinated pwc and t shirts/tank tops.
Other rides will be last minute affairs depending on weather so stay tuned
and we'll let you know. One word of advice. If you haven't fired up your
ski for awhile it would be a good idea to charge your battery so you don't
get stuck at the ramp next time out. It is also a good idea to fire your
ski up for 20 seconds or so every 2 weeks and then charge the battery
on a 1 or 2 amp charger for awhile. Check the air pressure in your trailer
tires as well.
