JUNE 2006

Greetings Fellow Clubbers!!! Welcome to June the month of FLAG DAY, FATHERS DAY, and the FIRST DAY OF SUMMER! What's going on in the SCJR Nation? Well, the first weekend we're doing a ride from Pineda Boat Ramp just north of Pineda Causeway. Gathering time 9:30 ride at 10am. If you are filled with public spirit and you would like to advance the positive image of SCJR in particular and the PWC world in general be prepared to bend over for 15 minutes or so to help us pick up trash. If not, just show up to spend some time with some of your fellow clubbers and ride the beautiful Indian River. The ride itinerary is weather dependent. We might ride south to Sebastian Inlet with some stops along the way. Or we might just hang at Curt's dock and pool for a fun filled afternoon if it is very windy. So come on out to Pineda Boat Ramp Sat. am. Next up, the 10th of June is our annual trip to Camp Armo with our excellent ride captain, PAUL MALLOY. Paul says there is plenty of water and some folks are even going to go Friday and spend the night. Even BRAD RIGGLE, rider extraordinaire proclaims that this is a ride not to be missed. The
Little Econ and St John's rivers will be part of the ride schedule. Event
Chair FRAN MIRON will have more details prior to the ride and will email
everyone. A head count would be good. So if you think you want to go, give
Paul 321 269 7319 or Fran 321 593 2732 a call for directions and full
details.

The following week CURT SMITH will be leading a ride in Key Largo. CURT,
JOHN KEREKES, AND ALAN WHELPLEY are headed to Key Largo on the 15th for a long weekend of riding and maybe even some scuba diving. If you are interested in hanging with this crew and riding the crystal clear waters of
the northern Keys give Curt a call at 321 591 6557 for complete details.
You can view recent pix of this locale by going to our website and clicking
on the first picture. This will transport you right to the photo gallery of
the April trip to the Keys. Please avail yourself of our website on a
regular basis. We will be updating info and pix quite frequently. We are
also going to change our website provider come July. This will save us
approximately $12 a month and give us service that will be just as good and
perhaps better. Your club officers are always looking out for you. So you
can sleep better tonight knowing that, I'm sure.

Next. Yes there is a next. TIM MCKERCHER and his lovely wife MICHELLE's Watertop Unlimited is hosting a "Journey of a Lifetime". This trip from Miami to Bimini will truly be an adventure for a lucky 20 riders. Members
that have signed up with eager anticipation are JOHN WILANSKY and TIM
MOBERLY. John will be on his brand new Yamaha FX 140 HO and will be sure to put it to the ultimate test of endurance and dependability over the open
ocean across the Gulf Stream and right into the port of Bimini in the Grand
Bahamas. We all wish these guys a safe journey and I might add many of us
are a bit jealous.

DON'T FORGET JUNE MEETING. Our monthly meeting at Chowders will be Tues June 13th. Be sure to make it if you can. We'll have the new membership brochures to hand out to everyone. These will be a great way to introduce yourself to prospective members when you see folks with the jetskis at local boat ramps, beaches, and gas stations. They are really quite nice and will go a long way toward selling our club to new members. We will also be
talking about and finalyzing plans for our PWC RIVER RALLY July 8th. You can go to our website and go to the blue box on the right side of the home page. At the bottom of the box you will see RIVER RALLY. Click on that and it will take you to the flyer that we will print and distribute around the county. This Rally should be well attended because it has something for everyone. Adventure in the form or a TRIVA RUN. JOHN KEREKES AND ALAN WHELPLEY have conspired to put together a great bunch of clues that will bring a new twist to riding on the river. AND there is a $100 cash first prize with hundreds of dollars of additional prizes and give a ways. Hanging on the beach at Rotary Park. We have reserved not one but two pavillions. So rain or shine
we're good to go. Sunny and Hot? Take shelter under a pavillion. Rainy?
Take shelter under a pavillion. Curb your appetite. We'll have hotdogs and
chips. Plus hopefully we'll attract some new members and entertain old members. So it promises to be a big day for SCJR. So come to the meeting and get full details and start making your plans for July 8th. See you at the rides and
the meeting. Come out and SUPPORT THE SPORT. IF NOT YOU,
WHO? President Curt
