Meeting Minutes —May - 2005

The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. by Vice President, Rick Charshafian. There were 11 members present.

OLD BUSINESS:
Patty Ziegler and Sherri Shields sold one T-shirt at the rally, and Sherri sold two T-shirts and one hat at the meeting.

Picnic dates were brought up again as a reminder to all, next one being July 10th on a private area in Geneva. Contact Paul Malloy at prmalloy@earthlink.net for info or directions.

NEW BUSINESS:
A 50/50 drawing was held, $21.00 collected and Fran not only won, but attempted to donate his half of the winnings back to the club but instead bought a discounted shirt from the club.

A tech tip was given by John Shields concerning the gasoline breather tube for a Yamaha XLT1200 to alleviate a siphoning problem from fuel to the handlebar area. See John for more detailed information if you have experienced a related problem.

PRESIDENT REPORT:

Farieda could not attend the meeting. She was feeling under the weather and just got back from New York, but asked Rick to thank those who attended the Fla Rally series at Captain Hirams this past weekend. Sherri said, according to Tim McKercher, approximately 55 registered participants showed up to the rally.

V.P. REPORT:
Rick reminded all, for Farieda, that for 10% club discounts at participating dealers, you must contact:

TREASURER REPORT:
Patty could not attend and no report was given. John K. reminded the board that we need to get the signature cards updated at the bank and update statements, deposits, etc. We also need to get reminders for dues renewals out to all members.

EVENT COORDINATOR:
Ride Coordinator, Fran Miron, has set up a Jensen Beach run from Melbourne on Friday, August 5th with accomodations at Caribbean Shores contact him for more info.

October 8th will be the date for a weekend trip to the Suwannee River at Yellow Jacket Campground. More info will be emailed out as that date gets closer.

A run from St. Augustine to Sebastian is coming up, contact Brad Riggle for info.

WEBMASTER:   
Sherri announced that she received an email from California for jetskimechanic.com that you can receive a 5% discount on merchandise by mentioning SCJR. She also said she had been contacted by boats academy.com that we could post our classifieds on their site at no charge. She will look into it.

Sherri also announced that Patty has made up a sales merchandise flyer for the club and Sherri has created an identical page and separate "Merchandise" navigation button for the website. She has updated the classifieds on the web and Tom Wilson has one of his jet ski's for sale.

SECRETARY REPORT:
Tom Wilson was present but did not have meeting minutes from April since he could not attend due to family scheduling conflicts. If anyone did take notes or minutes please contact him and he will get them posted through Sherri.

LEGISLATIVE REPORT:
No report.

GUEST SPEAKER:
No guest speaker was present.

John K. made a motion to adjourn, John W. seconded that motion and the meeting was adjourned at 7:37pm.
