Meeting Minutes — August 2004

Tuesday, August 10, 2004
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by President, Rick Charshafian. There were 19 members present. Rick welcomed the new members and two guests.

OLD BUSINESS:
Rick announced that that there were still SCJR shirts Fla. Rally Series available for sale.

NEW BUSINESS:
Rick suggested that at future meetings all members sign in on a sign in sheet. A letter has been composed to inactive or past members to suggest renewal of membership.

PRESIDENT REPORT:

Rick announced the schedule for the monthly rides from Front Street Park. The club picnic is scheduled for September 11, 2004 at Sebastian Inlet. It was determined to be more economical to rent only ½ of the pavillion.

V.P. REPORT:
Vice President, Andy Ziegler, reported that House of Power is interested in being a sponsor. Also, there is a September special at Lovers Key.

TREASURER REPORT:
No Report.

EVENT COORDINATOR:
August and September rides were announced with information regarding camping facilities, availability of gasoline, water conditions on the St. Johns river. Swannee ride, August 27, 28 & 29. 150 skis expected for Swannee ride. October ride is Jenson Beach – Ballard Park to Jenson Beach. Notify Rick by phone or e-mail.

WEBMASTER:
Web Master, Sherri Shields, requested members to send her photos and articles for the website. 76 pictures were downloaded from Lovers Key ride. Yamaha ad at the bottom of front page of newsletter. Work progresses on the newsletter.

SECRETARY REPORT:
Ginny Conley, Secretary, passed out copies of July minutes for review by members present.

LEGISLATIVE REPORT:
2 years 9 months before signs come up for review. A sample and available colors were shown.

GUEST SPEAKER:
There was no guest speaker.

Rick announced that the next Board of Directors meeting will be September 6 at Hooters in Melbourne and encouraged members to attend.

ADJOURNMENT
Meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.
