Meeting Minutes — June 2003

Tuesday, June 10, 2003
Meeting called to order at 7:00 by President Wayne. There were 25 members present.

PRESIDENT REPORT:
Opened meeting with a welcome to all our members and first time attendees. Discussed ride to Silver Glen, will do again.

V.P. REPORT:
Guest speaker cancelled, discussed future speakers. Possibly bring in a mechanic. Going to ask Bob to speak next month. Wants suggestions, may call him at home 636-4897 or beep him 232-7064.

SECRETARY REPORT:
Printed in the most current newsletter mailed to everyone. No corrections or additions. MOTION: To accept minutes as printed.
PASSED. Passed around tri-fold for review. Don't forget to sign in.

TREASURER REPORT:
Passed around the Treasures Report. Everyone reminded to buy 50/50 tickets. Check out the expiring member list on front of newsletter. Will be checking on new products, he has new shirts in. Baxter will check on windbreakers with logo on it. He has another updated membership list. Reminded us to use updated e-mail list when e-mailing updates. Mike will check on patches.

EVENT COORDINATOR:
Check out the web site and newsletter for updates. July 27th Front Street Clean Up, July 11-13 Lover's Key, July 12th Capt. Hiram’s Run, July 26th St. John's Ride, August 1-3 Key Largo, August 16th Club Picnic, Sept. 12-13, Suwannee River, Sept. 20-21 St. Augustine Rally, October TBD Front Street Clean Up. We will be staying at the Holiday Inn in Key Largo, make reservations early. Check the website and newsletter for future rides. If you plan on attending a ride you must RSVP if you want updates. WEB MASTER/NEWSLETTER CHAIRPERSON:
SEND ARTICLES AND PICTURES. Working at finalizing website this week. Announced she is resigning position of Newsletter Chairperson, she does not have the time. Requested a volunteer to take it over. No response, so think about getting involved. Discussed what we should do with the newsletter. Will discuss at a later date. She is still in need of classified ads, articles and pictures. LEGISLATIVE REPORT:
No report.

OLD BUSINESS:
Passed around SCJR tri-fold, asked for suggestions or changes to it. Discussed feelings about giving to charities. Discussed lack of advertising money coming in. Discussed how to get our name out more. Send ideas out in an e-mail or come to next board meeting. Need a direction and purpose for this club. Check out our advertisers and use them. Next Board Meeting is Monday, June 30th at Wavne's house at 6:00. Chapter Meeting will be held at Chowders on July 8th at 7:00.

NEW BUSINESS:
Discussed "Kids' Without Christmas", what we wanted to do for them if anything. Andy announced that Con's sold business. Andy is sponsoring a talk radio show - computer help program on WMEL 9-10 Wednesday and Friday's. There being no further new business, had 50/50 drawing. Meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m.
