BUSINESS: Jet Sport Magazine went all the way to Captain Hirams with the club. However some riders stopped at the island for a while and went back as the water was very rough. Sherry mentioned she had the privilege of seeing the layout. There were multiple pictures - 3 pages, 9 pictures per page. The club received publicity in this month’s WaterCraft
Magazine, in an article entitled The March 4, 2004 Park Clean-up and ride had 22 skis. NEW
BUSINESS: It was decided that the Newsletter is the backbone of the club, and should be continued on a consistent schedule. The club will be seeking volunteers to provide articles for the Newsletter. Also, will be seeking volunteers to write down their thoughts after each ride to be incorporated into Newsletter. Farieda volunteered to contact specific watercraft dealers to encourage a sponsorship/advertising relationship with the Club. Farieda also volunteered to seek sponsorships for the picnic and other events. Attempts will be made to locate the Club Banner. Vice President will make arrangements for the Sebastian picnic on 5/22/04, and he will also secure the pavilion. The Club is seeking a volunteer to chair this event. May 8, 2004
Ride - Park clean-up at 9:30 a.m. The next board meeting will be May 5, 2004 at the RoadHouse restaurant on Evans Road. This meeting is open to the general membership. Discussion from the floor about the importance that the club members be diligent in portraying us and our Club in a positive way while participating in rides and events. The Secretary will inform the membership of Meeting dates and time a few days before the monthly meetings via e-mail. ADJOURNMENT |
