The meeting was called to order at 7:12 p.m. by President Curt Smith at chowders restaurant in Melbourne and 16 members were present..

GUEST SPEAKER: None

OLD BUSINESS: none

NEW BUSINESS : Tom Wilson, ( myself ) gave a real life anecdote on what not to do when cleaning carburetors:….. do not work in a non ventilated area, do not turn over motor with spark plug wires un grounded laying in the hull, you get the picture.

Discussed the upcoming river rally and gave out assignments for collecting banners, prizes, etc.

Discussed upcoming Friday fest in downtown Melbourne, took volunteers to set up and man booth

PRESIDENT REPORT: Announced that our guest speaker sprained his ankle today and had to cancel ( meteorologist from Patrick air force base )

V.P. REPORT: .John W. spoke about upcoming rides, river rally in June, possible camp armo, Jensen beach run on August 3 rd and 4th, lovers key in July, also updated us on the construction and ramp renovations at Sebastian inlet

TREASURER REPORT: John circulated latest report

EVENT COORDINATOR: handled by the V.P. above

WEBMASTER: Chris could not be here so curt gave a report on website, 647 hits last month, 46 percent of visitors added it to their favorites.

SECRETARY REPORT: I circulated the minutes from april for review and approval

Member spotlight: Maureen bought a new/used ski, a 2003 Yamaha XLT 800,Angie bought a new 2007 Kawasaki stx12F, congrats to both, and Brad and Cindy Riggle showed up , after returning from their recent wedding in France, congratulations to both of you from all of us

50/50 drawing: Josh W. sold $30 in tickets, $16 went to the winner, was it Angie? Or Eddie? It happened so fast, I didn’t get it into my notes so if someone could confirm the correct winner, I will be sure to ban them from future drawings.
