GUEST SPEAKER: Ted Turner, brother in law to Secretary Tom Wilson, joined us from Ohio and gave an impromptu presentation about his company that travels all over the world doing research about marine life, and consulting as an expert on setting up dolphin/ human interaction swim programs. He said that personal watercraft are one of the most important tools they use in this line of work. He said that he often reminds cynics that pwc's have a shallow draft which does minimal damage to sea life and sea grasses, they are lower in emissions and use less fuel than larger motorized boats, and because of their small size they are less likely to scare off fish and mammals that they are trying to get close to. We have another spokesman out their for us, and since he owns a seadoo boat I have convinced him to become a member of the AWA. Member spotlight: New member Jay Olsen announced that we have another choice in watercraft repair, progressive enterprises in melbourne off of sarno road fixed his tigershark and frans tigershark is there now also.
